- Does your child struggle with dressing skills?
- Does your child have difficulty falling asleep and/or staying asleep?
- Does your child experience challenges with toileting (having accidents, not able to tell when they need to go to the washroom etc.)?
- Is your child having difficulty developing independent living skills such as meal preparation, household chores and general safety skills?

As children develop, self-care skills (or caring for one’s own being) become an important aspect of daily life. From dressing to toileting, from brushing teeth to getting enough sleep, children learn the skills of daily living while acquiring more independence and confidence. Every child learns these self-care skills at a different pace, but self-care tasks can be particularly difficult for some children. We are here to help.
Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL’s)

In route to adulthood, daily living activities such as meal preparation, housework, money management and general safety skills become increasingly important. Each of these tasks requires the ability to coordinate many skills proficiently.
Our clinicians will breakdown these tasks and step-by-step, will help your child achieve independence.
